Refresher (Upskilling) Door Supervisor Course.

Keep your SIA licence valid and your professional skills up to date with the Level 2 SIA Door Supervisor Refresher (Top-Up) Training Course. This course is mandatory for all Door Supervisors whose SIA licences were issued before October 2021 and must be completed before you can renew your licence to continue working legally in the security industry.

Entry Requirements:

You must be older than 18 years
Hold a valid Door Supervisor licence (expired or active)
Must have a valid Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification (or higher)
Don’t have an EFAW certificate? We offer same-day First Aid training. Add it to your booking.
Complete mandatory pre-course training (e.g., ACT Awareness & ACT Security e-learning)

What is the duration for the Door Supervisors Refresher (Top-Up) course?
• Duration: 3 Days (including First Aid at Work & assessments)
• Duration: 2 Days if you have a valid First Aid at Work)
Do I need the Door Supervisors Refresher (Top-Up) course to keep working?
Yes — without completing the top-up, you cannot renew your Door Supervisor licence legally.
How long does the licence last after renewal?
Your SIA licence is valid for three years from the date of renewal.
What if my Door Supervisor's licence has already expired?
You can still take the Door Supervisors Refresher (Top-Up) course and then apply to renew your licence through the SIA website.?
Do I need first aid training before attending the Door Supervisors Refresher (Top-Up) course?
Yes. At Lancashire College of Further Education( LCFE), we will offer you the Emergency First Aid at Work course if you don’t hold an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate that is valid for at least 12 months.
How will I be assessed on the Door Supervisors Refresher (Top-Up)?
• Multiple-choice exams for theory units
• Practical demonstrations for physical intervention
• Demonstrations of searching procedures
