Entry Level 1, 2 & 3:

Level 1 (Intermediate):

Learners who are just starting to develop their reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.

You will learn to:
• Read simple words and short sentences
• Write short messages or forms (like your name, address, and basic information)
• Listen and respond to simple questions
• Use basic punctuation (capital letters and full stops)
Learners who can already understand simple information and want to communicate more clearly.
You will learn to:
• Read and understand short texts such as notices and emails
• Write short paragraphs and use correct spelling and punctuation
• Take part in simple conversations and discussions
• Follow basic instructions and express your ideas clearly
Learners who have basic English skills and want to prepare for more advanced study or work.
You will learn to:
• Read and understand texts on familiar topics
• Write short reports, letters, or emails
• Use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Speak clearly in discussions or presentations
• Show confidence when communicating at work or in daily life
Learners who want to develop practical English skills for work, study, or personal growth — roughly equivalent to a GCSE grade D–E (3).
You will learn to:
• Read and interpret different types of texts (articles, adverts, instructions)
• Write clear, well-structured documents (emails, reports, letters)
• Use punctuation, spelling, and grammar accurately
• Take part in formal and informal discussions
• Express opinions and ideas confidently
Learners aiming for higher education, professional employment, or apprenticeships — roughly equivalent to a GCSE grade 4–5 (C).
You will learn to:
• Analyse and compare complex texts
• Write formal and persuasive documents
• Use advanced grammar and vocabulary
• Present information clearly in discussions and presentations
• Communicate effectively in professional and academic settings
You will complete three main components:
1. Reading – understanding different types of texts
2. Writing – creating clear and accurate written work
3. Speaking, Listening & Communication – taking part in discussions and presentations
Assessment is usually a mix of short tests and practical tasks, with no long written exams.
